BoVegas Casino Review

BoVegas is a somewhat new entrant to the online casino industry, having only been founded in 2016. They do well to mimic the offerings of Bovada, a casino whose name is not all too different, operating as a well-rounded site that has everything you would like to see from a top-notch online casino.

However, there are some sites that have blacklisted this casino, so is this site worth your time and money or not? Let’s find out.

Players Accepted: United States, Canada, all others except below

Players Not Accepted: Israel, Russia, Poland, India, Ukraine, Belarus, Malaysia, Costa Rica

First Impressions

First impressions of BoVegas Casino are great. The site is nicely organized and set up in a way that makes navigating to your preferred games straightforward. For example, games are broken down into different categories, such as table games, video poker, and so on. Something I really like was the “Hot Games” tab, which took you to the games that are the most popular at any given point in time.

Having a quick flick through the games, the quantity and diversity games seems competent but is not going to blow you away, with a heavy emphasis on slots.

By all accounts, BoVegas has a good reputation and has not been linked to any scams or otherwise unscrupulous activity. The site is licensed by the government of Curacao, which lends some credibility, and uses well-known leading software providers RealTime Gaming for their games. This means players can rest assured knowing they are playing fair games with fair odds.

However, there has been some player complaints due to slow payouts, which does show initial red flags. Additionally, despite its Curacao licensing, the reality is that receiving a license from the government of Curacao is not all that difficult nor meaningful. Therefore, the reputation of BoVegas Casino falls somewhere in the middle of the road.

Available Games

When it comes to casino games, all are provided by RealTime Gaming, aside from live dealer games which use Visionary iGaming’s software. Therefore, before I even got stuck in, I knew the games would be good quality and offer fair odds. I was slightly underwhelmed with the quantity of games, but BoVegas has got pretty much all areas covered. If you’re not too fussy, there is a great selection.

Here is a little more information on the available games.

Online Slots

If you like RealTime Gaming software and the slot games that they produce, then you will love BoVegas’ selection of slot games. However, if you are a fan of other, or various software providers’ slots, Bovegas may leave you a bit disappointed. RTG is the sole casino software provider for, but the good news is that there are plenty of games to choose from and, unlike the rest of the casino, slot games are organized in a manner that makes sense.

The slots drop-down allows you to choose from three-, five-, and six-reel slot games, as well as games with bonus rounds and progressive jackpots. In total, there are more than 100 slots from which to choose at BoVegas. The heaviest quantity of slots is the five-reel variety and these are where you will find a large majority of bonus rounds. In terms of betting limits, I found games as low as $0.01 and up to $50.

Table Games

The table game selection at Bovegas is quite robust. In total, there are 20 different games that include titles you would expect from any online casino, such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat, as well as some more obscure titles. However, the casino is missing Ultimate Texas Hold’Em, Crazy 4 Poker, and High Card Flush to name a few.

The majority of the table games are Blackjack with 7 variants in total. While this may seem a lot, many online casinos offer many more Blackjack games, so it is slightly below the industry standard. BoVegas also lacks in specialty games such as Keno, Scratch games, and Bingo, which is slightly disappointing.

Video Poker

To be honest, BoVegas does do a fantastic job when it comes to video poker. In fact, there are few online casinos that offer a wider selection of video poker games than BoVegas does. They do well to cover the basic games such as Jacks or Better, but go well beyond that and offer titles even the most experienced video poker players may be blissfully unaware of. Unfortunately, the low betting limit of $0.05-$5 may put a damper on things, but if you are looking for a large number of quality games, BoVegas is the place.

Live Dealer Games

Visionary iGaming, is responsible for hosting, producing, and supporting the live dealer aspect of BoVegas, meaning this section of their site is excellent. The quality of the live stream, as well as the dealers, are best described as second-to-none, and the table is exactly like that which you will find at a casino. Visionary iGaming really does do live dealer play correctly.

BoVegas Live Dealer Games

As far as the games offered are concerned, there are a few to choose from:

  • Blackjack: Including traditional Blackjack as well as Blackjack Early Payout, with betting limits ranging from $10-$500 to $25-$1,000
  • Roulette: Including American and European variants with three betting limits; $1-$100, $5-$500, and $5-$1,000
  • Baccarat: Two tables with betting limits of $5-$100, $25-$500, and $50-$1,000
  • Super 6: Betting limits of $5-$100, $25-$500, and $50-$1000

All things considered, the live dealer aspect of BoVegas is what I like the most. Everything functions perfectly, the betting ranges are wide, and it truly gives you the feel of a live casino.

Bonuses & Promotions

Welcome Bonus

Though always prone to change, BoVegas is currently advertizing a whopping welcome bonus of up to $5,500 for new players. However, this promotion is not as straightforward as you might think.

This welcome offer is actually a combination of two different welcome bonuses; a 250% slots bonus and a 300% slots bonus. For both offers, whatever money you deposit into your account, the casino will match for bonus funds that can be played on the site’s online slots. To claim the 250% and 300% bonuses, use the codes BOVEGAS250 and BOVEGAS300, respectively. One thing to note is that the 300% slots match promotional code is online valid after you have played and cleared the 250% bonus.

The welcome bonus carries with it a 30x playthrough requirement inclusive of the bonus amount. This makes the welcome offer less generous than it initially appears. However, this is pretty standard when it comes to online casinos so it is well worth making the most of!

Promotions for Existing Players

What about once you have signed up for BoVegas and used your welcome bonus? Are there any other offers available to existing players? Thankfully, yes!

I was pleased to see several ongoing promotions at BoVegas casino, inclusive of daily deals and a monthly offer. These vary from time to time, but at the time of writing this review, the following promotions were up for grabs.

  • Daily Deal: 175% slots match bonus + 40 free spins
  • Monthly Slots Special: 105% to 250% slot match bonus and 25 to 75 free spins depending on the amount you deposit
  • Monthly Cards Special: 80% to 125% match bonus, depending on the amount you deposit

In addition, BoVegas also has a VIP Club loyalty rewards program. You earn points as you play in the casino and progress through the different loyalty tiers. Those at the top receive exclusive and better rewards, such as cash deals, 20% weekly cashback, and 10% insurance on losses.

Banking Methods

The banking at BoVegas Casino is the site’s real downfall due to the limited number of options available and longer payout times. Here is a quick breakdown of the different options available:

TypeDeposit LimitsDeposit TimeWithdrawal LimitsWithdrawal Time
Visa$25 – $1,000Instant$100 – $2,0003-7 Business Days
Mastercard$25 – $1,000Instant$100 – $2,0003-7 Business Days
Bitcoin$25 – UnlimitedInstantN/AN/A
Secure Payment Voucher$25 – $500InstantN/AN/A
Bank WireN/AN/A$100 – $2,0003-7 Business Days

As you can see straight away, there are nowhere near as many banking options available as you will see at other online casinos. Therefore, many players are put off by the limited number of banking options. However, one good thing to note is that there is a low minimum deposit of only $25, allowing users to play on the site without having to pay masses of funds into their account initially.

Withdrawal methods are also limited, but the most frustrating thing is that players cannot withdraw using Bitcoin. Plus, the minimum withdrawal amount of $100 and the week-long timeframe for payouts make receiving your winnings harder than it should be.

Many players have written reviews online saying that despite BoVegas’ promise of winnings being paid out within 7 business days, it took months for the funds to reach their account. On the other hand, some players have never had problems on this site, so it seems to be luck of the draw. It is often the case that withdrawing winnings to the US takes longer to process due to the stricter gambling laws in place, so this is likely the simple explanation behind it.

Device Compatibility

You can also access BoVegas on your mobile device, which is great when looking to place wagers and play casino games on the go. However, unlike most online casinos that can be accessed on smartphones via a mobile version of the website, BoVegas requires you to download the casino app. As a gambling app, this is not available to download from the App Store or Google Play, making it slightly riskier and more time consuming to get your mobile device set up.

Additionally, as far as the game selection is concerned, there is a reduction—which is common. Fortunately, slots and video poker games remain almost wholly intact and are on par with what you will find on the desktop version of BoVegas. However, live dealer games are lacking.

Customer Support

Finally, I looked at customer support. While many online casino players overlook this feature, it is essential good customer support is in place in case you did have any issues in regard to your account. With a site like BoVegas which has had some bad player reviews, this is more important than ever.

The following options are available if you do need to contact a member of customer service:

  • Live Chat: Connect with a member of the support team 24/7 via live online chat
  • Email: Contact the casino via email at
  • Telephone: Call customer support on +1347 778 0761 if calling from the US, or +44 203 432 3540 if calling from the UK

What is great about these customer support options is that they are all available 24/7, meaning whenever you have an issue, there will be someone who can help. I utilized the live chat feature a few times in conducting my research, and I can attest to it being a great feature. However, the email response was pretty slow, so only use this as a last resort.

Overall Verdict

With all things considered, BoVegas is a fantastic site with a fair selection of games including a thrilling live dealer section and some incredibly enticing bonuses. However, when looking more deeply the lack of banking options and reports of slow payouts brings the overall ranking down lightly. Nevertheless, everything else about the site is spot-on, especially if you’re wanting to play live dealer games. With its good reputation, BoVegas gets a thumbs up from me.

  1. I can confirm that Bovegas Casino is shady. They stalled my payout requests (re-requesting documents 6 times – with 3 day increments in between each request). I had to spend a lot of time on the chat and phone just to get verified for payment. I finally got my wire (2 months of waiting in total). And the only reason they did send it was because of my promise to keep playing big. When I finally requested to close my account they came back and falsely accused me of reversing a deposit from 4 months ago. Of course I did not and even verified that with my bank. The representatives on the chat were threatening (saying I would be globally banned if I didn’t “cooperate” with them). It was like dealing with a lone shark or mafia. These people are crooked. There are several good casinos out there. This is not one of them.

  2. After jumping through all the many hoops to verify my account, earning a VIP account with them… when I finally go to make my first withdrawal they stole my $1800 winnings and closed my account when I queried them.
Avoid this Casino, they’re very, very shady, slow, and a fraud.
