Files Legal Proceedings Against Affiliate Program

Last Week Casino Portal CR Started Proceedings Against Parent Company of Affiliate Edge

Casino Portal last week on the evening of 9th October commenced legal action against Manchester based Interactive Technology Corporation Limited, the parent company responsible for managing the casino affiliate programme, Affiliate Edge.

For those unaware, Interactive Technology Corporation featured in a high profile high court battle last year between the owners, three brothers, with Warren Ferster and Stuart Ferster taking action against their younger brother.

Since the ruling in November 2016, which Mr Justice Morgan ruled that ITC was the sole owner of the gaming business ( Point 223 ), Affiliate Edge and the Club World Group has come in for some heavy criticism and allegations from affiliates.

Indeed in early 2017 rumours were afoot that Stuart and Warren Ferster had employed the services of the blacklisted AffPower Group, the same AffPower Group which were caught pirating Net Ent games.

Furthermore there were and actually still are strong allegations that Affiliate Edge have been complicit in detagging referred players from their affiliate partner accounts.

To continue to force affiliates to continue to promote Affiliate Edge Properties which include casinos such as Club World Casino and Lucky Red, Affiliate Edge decided to invoke clause 8.5, which allows the affiliate programme to amend their terms and conditions as they see fit. As a result in February 2017 a new clause, 4.7 was introduced to the programmes’s Terms and Conditions. It reads:

4.7 Affiliates who send 5 FTD’s or less over a 2 calendar month period collectively will be marked as ‘non active’ and will be reduced to 10% default commission.

It is this clause that Dave Sawyer, the owner of is contesting. Sawyer alleges that he was not informed of this clause and should he had been, he would not have agreed to it being applied to previous players referred by CR to the Affiliate Edge properties.

In the video below Sawyer outlines the action he has taken, with further details available on here: CR Commences Legal Action Against Affiliate Programme
