Amaya Casino Software

Meet Amaya. They’re a Canadian-based company that develops and licenses software for online and offline casino operators.

(They also happen to be the world’s largest publicly traded gambling company.)

In June 2014, they made an announcement saying they were buying the Rational Group (which includes PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker) for 4.9 BILLION dollars. They finalized the deal the following August.

That garnered some attention. Mine included.

Which I find funny because they’ve been around since 1998. They own (aka acquired) the Rational Group, Cryptologic, Chartwell Technology, and Diamond Game, an offline gaming company. You’d think I’d remember seeing their software online or in a casino somewhere.

But I digress.

The point of this page isn’t to tell you about their company, but instead, cover their games and where you can find them.

Let’s get started.

Amaya Casino Games

What’s unique about Amaya’s online games is they come from a combination of proprietary and leased software.

By themselves, Amaya has a small library of games – around 50. This includes:

  • Blackjack – This includes approximately 10 variations such as Vegas Blackjack, Atlantic City Blackjack, Blackjack Perfect Pairs, European Blackjack, and Live Blackjack.
  • Table Games – This includes titles like Casino War, Let It Ride, 3 Card Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, Red Dog, American Roulette, Zero Roulette, Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus, Triple Action Hold ‘Em and Baccarat.
  • Video Poker – This includes around 10 titles such as Aces and Faces, All American, Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better, Tens or Better, and Joker Poker.
  • Slots – Modern looking, 5-reel video slots.

Not super exciting.

But if you include the other companies they work with, such as,

  • SHFL
  • Bally
  • Spin Games
  • Leander
  • Blueprint
  • Core Gaming
  • Nektan
  • Aristocrat
  • Next Gen
  • Quickspin
  • Genesis
  • IGT
  • And more

Then you get hundreds, maybe thousands of new games and slot titles. That includes licensed titles such as Batman, Conan, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cubis.

What’s equally exciting is their partnership with BetSoft. These guys are known for their Slots3 series of 3D video slots. These machines are like playing a video game created by Pixar. They have a great mixture of storytelling, gambling, bonus rounds, and excitement. Take it from me; they’re worth checking out. The titles you can play include:

  • A Night in Paris
  • After Night Falls
  • At the Copa
  • Boomanji
  • Greedy Goblins
  • Mr. Vegas
  • Rooks Revenge
  • Safari Sam
  • Sugar Pop
  • The Slotfather
  • The True Sheriff
  • Three Wishes
  • Tycoons
  • Under the Bed
  • WhoSpunit

(My favorites are Greedy Goblins and The Slotfather.)

And what about when you want to play on the go? Then you can take your pick from 16 different mobile-compatible games. Nothing to write home about when compared to Microgaming’s 225+ mobile games, but they’re on par with Real Time Gaming’s and BetSoft’s selection.

(Note – If you include Amaya’s subsidiaries/partners, you have a much more extensive selection of games – both on the web or mobile.)

Brick and Mortar

Amaya owns (at least) 2 offline businesses, too.

One is Cadillac Jack. They supply casinos with a variety of slot machines. A quick look at their selection, and you’ll see slot machines with 15-100 lines, bonuses, and progressives.

Then there’s Diamond Game. Amaya bought them in February 2014, just one month after their 20th anniversary. Diamond Game designs and produces gaming systems for North American lotteries, Native American, and alternative gaming markets.

Chances are if you gamble (online), you’ll come across one of Amaya’s games.

Amaya Online Casinos

This is where things get interesting, and maybe a tad confusing.

You see, there aren’t any Amaya-exclusive casinos. Online casinos using Amaya software will also have games from WMS, NetEnt, Aristocrat, Cryptologic, IGT, QuickSpin, Playtech, and many others.

With that said – here are some of the casinos where you’ll find games from Amaya and their subsidiaries:

  • InterCasino
  • VIP Casino
  • Cherry Casino
  • Coral Casino
  • Gala Casino
  • Slots Magic
  • EuroSlots
  • Unibet Casino
  • Bet365
  • BetVictor
  • 888
  • Betsson
  • Betfair

Unfortunately, none of these casinos accept American players.

If you’re an American player, you’ll be better off finding a casino using one of Amaya’s other companies or partners, such as BetSoft. They have 150+ games, fun 3D slots, and a small selection of mobile-compatible games.

You can find their software at Bovada or

For everyone else, though, my top non-US picks include 888 Casino and Bet365. You’ll find the greatest selection of casino games (including games from BetSoft), as well as other options like poker, sports betting and bingo, at one of these two casinos.
