Located on Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Isles that is under Spanish control, is a casino called Playa de Las Americas. This casino is privately-owned by Spanish businessmen.
The island of Tenerife is a major tourist destination, therefore you will find non-stop activities to keep you occupied when you’re not gambling. You can explore Mount Teide which is an active volcano, or visit one of the many beaches and waterparks in the nearby area.
Tenerife is accessible from the air by flying into one of two international airports on the island or by sea via the ferry. Once you have arrived on the island, the recommended mode of transport to get around is by rental car.

The Casino Playa de Las Americas is a casino catering to VIPs and it is one of just three gambling properties located on the island. The casino is elegantly decorated with sleek lighting and mirrors as well as red carpets. The Euro is the only currency accepted at the casino and there are several ATM facilities on the property as well as at the hotel, which is in the same building.
If you look on the casino’s website you will find details about their poker tournaments. These details include the rules for re-buys and buy-in costs for each event.
The casino’s operating times are different depending on if you want to play table games or slot machines. The gaming machine room is available daily from 11 AM to 2 AM, while the table games are open Sunday-Thursday from 8 AM to 3 PM and Friday-Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Restaurants at Casino Playa de Las Americas

There is 1 restaurant at the casino, which is appropriately named “Playa de Las Américas Casino Restaurant”. They offer international cuisine in the form of meats, fish, appetizers and tasty desserts.
As we mentioned, the casino shares the same building with H10 Gran Tinerfe where there are a number of different restaurants as well.
Los Menceys Restaurant is a Buffet restaurant with show cooking and a pleasant terrace with sea views.
El Mirador Brasserie specializes in flame-grilled dishes that fuse classic Argentinian cuts of meat with a selection of local produce from the island.
Drago Snack Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine, soft drink or snack. Choose from a varied selection of sandwiches, wraps, and salads.
Il Picolo Restaurant is a great place near the beach to enjoy a variety of freshly sliced pizzas
