Boutique Casino at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort Review
Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort & Casino is located on a 5-acre lot of privately owned land surrounded by mature palm trees and some of the most famous beaches in Costa Rica. The resort is situated on the infamous Golden Coast, in the province of Guanacaste.
The recommended way to get to the beach resort is by air where the first step is to travel into the country via Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport. The next step requires you to take a domestic flight directly to the beach resort via their private airport. Alternatively, you can use a rental car to travel from Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport to the resort or you can make use of their airport shuttle services.
There is a wide variety of things to do in and around the resort – including the fine art of doing nothing at all. Guests of all ages can enjoy an authentic Costa Rica vacation featuring watersports, golf, nature-exploring activities, and excursions which are all within range of the resort.
The legal gambling age in Costa Rica is 21 years old and you will be denied entrance into the resort casino if you are not of the appropriate age or properly dressed in semi-formal attire.
Boutique Casino at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort
There is a small on-site casino at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort which has everything a casual gambler is looking for as well as one or two games that may interest some high rollers. Boutique Casino Diria may be small, but it is well lit and decorated so it appears much bigger and bolder when you are inside (it does not look like much from outside) and it is located in the Grand Boulevard section of the beach resort.
You can expect the Las Vegas treatment at this casino – meaning that you get free drinks and snacks from the bar while you are an active player at any tables or slot machines. The casino only accepts currency denominated in US Dollars and Costa Rican Colones. The casino does also have an ATM that dispenses USD.
Boutique Casino Diria operates daily and as long as the beach resort is open, the casino is open as well. The usual operating hours are from 11 AM to 3 AM daily and table games only open at 12 PM noon.
Table Games at Boutique Casino Diria
Despite the fact that this is a small casino (by Las Vegas Standards at least) it still features a variety of fun table games.
There is a blackjack table that follows standard Las Vegas rules with 6 decks. There is also one Caribbean Stud Poker table and a Texas Hold‘em No Limit table where you can expect large buy-ins and high limits.
There are no roulette tables – but don’t worry because they do have an electronic roulette table with the latest touch bet technology.
Slots and Video Poker at Boutique Casino Diria
The small casino floor is filled with slots and there are 48 electronic machines in total. Half of these machines offer the choice to play a variety of games such as bingo, keno, poker, and blackjack. These are considered to be high limit games.
The other half of the machines are video slots or the older classic reel slot machines. There is a progressive jackpot network that links this half of the slot machines.
The slot machines accept coin denominations of a minimum of $0.25 and go up to a maximum of $5 but the older “reel” slot machines have a maximum of $1.
