Rival Gaming Software: Like RTG, But Unpopular and With Better Graphics

Popular. That’s not a word I’d use to describe Rival Gaming, a company that has been developing gambling software since 2006 – or their casinos.

At least not when compared to the likes of Slots.lv, Bovada, Bet365 or 888 – well-known US and UK-friendly brands.

But does that mean you shouldn’t check them out? Not necessarily.

I suggest learning more about their company, their games and what casinos they work with – which is pretty much what this page covers.

Just keep reading.

What Games Can You Play?

Rival Gaming has developed 160 games in 11 different languages.

Their most unique game is their exclusive slots series they call iSlots. I’ll explain what those are in a second, but first let’s look at all the standard games you can play.

Slots:

They have 3 and 5-reel classic and video slot machines, and 4 progressive jackpot machines. Some of their titles include:

  • Sevens and Bars
  • Big Cash Win
  • Crazy Camel Cash
  • Costume Party
  • Red White & Blue
  • Atomic Age
  • Sons of Olympus
  • Day at the Derby
  • Diggin’ Deep

I suggest playing Costume Party. You can thank me later.

Table games:

  • Blackjack (single hand)
  • Blackjack (multi-hand)
  • Baccarat
  • Craps
  • 3-Card Poker
  • Pai Gow poker
  • Caribbean Stud
  • War
  • Red Dog

Video poker:

  • Jacks or Better
  • Aces and Faces
  • Deuces and Joker
  • Double Joker
  • Joker Poker
  • Deuces Wild
  • Tens or Better

Their video poker machines also come in 1, 4, 10 and 25-hand variants.

I’ve also seen reviews that suggest Rival’s video poker machines are boring because the graphics are the same.

But I disagree. If you’ve ever played video poker in a Las Vegas casino, you know the video poker machines are as basic and plain as they come. No different than a 1988 NES video game.

Perhaps it’s a matter of taste?

Maybe so, and if that’s the case I suggest you check out Rival Gaming’s exclusive iSlot series.

Right now there are 15 iSlot titles. The most popular ones are:

  • Reel Crime: Bank Heist
  • As the Reels Turn Part 1, 2 and 3
  • Baby Boomers Cash Cruise
  • Bowled Over
  • Heavyweight Gold
  • Rock on!

The i stands for interactive (slots). The idea behind these machines is to get you involved. So, this is how they’ll work.

Each title will have a story which can end in different ways. How they end is up to you.

During each bonus round you’ll make a series of choices that will impact how the story progresses. And since there’s more than one way to finish a story, you can go through it more than once and have a different experience. In other words, there’s a lot of replay value (or reason to come back).

So, there you have it.

The general consensus is that Rival puts out subpar games.

But I don’t know about that.

While I haven’t played all their games, the ones I have played were fun and looked great. They definitely are on par with any brick and mortar casino I’ve been to, minus the licensed games of course.

So, ignore the haters for now and check the games out for yourself. You just need to find a Rival-powered casino first.

And we know just where you should go.

Where to Find a Rival-Powered Casino

There are 50+ casinos on Rival Gaming software. And like Real Time Gaming, they’ve been liberal with who they’ve leased their software to.

That means there are both good and bad – even rogue – casinos out their. So, it’s important you do your research to avoid joining a casino that’s unlikely to pay you.

According to our research these are the best casinos to join:

  • Tropezia Palace
  • Video Slots Casino
  • Desert Nights Casino (US)
  • Slots Capital Casino (US)
  • Cash o’ Lot Casino (US)
  • Tropica Casino (US)
  • Vegas Crest Casino (US)
  • Cocoa Casino
  • DaVinci’s Gold Casino

And these are casinos that aren’t “rogue,” but aren’t worth your time either:

  • Golden Cherry Casino
  • Slots of Fortune
  • BetUS Casino
  • 21 Grand Casino
  • Rockbet Casino

And here are the rogue casinos, as well as what earned them that title:

  • Balzac Casino – no pay
  • Orangegamez – no pay
  • Winpalace Group – Worst Casino of the Year 2013. The group includes Begado, Casino Titan, Golden Cherry, Slots Jungle and Winpalace
  • Dendera Casino – poor support
  • Tradition Casino – bad support and bad blackjack pay tables

It’d be great to see Rival go the opposite direction of RTG and filter out who they allow to use their white label (business in a box) services.

But they don’t.

So, until they do you just need to do your research. And don’t go off Rival Gaming’s homepage, either, because they list several “partners” we included in the not recommended or rogue lists above.

Just stick with our suggestions above and thanks us later.
