Let me guess – you’re here to learn more about Real Time Gaming. You want to know more about their games and what casinos use their software. I’ll do my best to help you out.

So, let’s start with the basics – their company background …or lack thereof.

RTG launched in 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia. No surprise here, but less than a decade later they moved their company out of the US to Costa Rica.

The company was acquired by Hasting International in 2007. They continue to own and operate the company to this day.

That’s about it, as far as the company is concerned.

Next I’ll tell you a bit about their games.

What Types of Games Can You Play?

I’ll be honest – there’s not a specific game Real Time Gaming puts out that excites me. It’s a pretty generic selection.

That said – it’s a well-rounded selection.

They have more than 150 games overall. The games you can play will depend on what casino you join and whether you play from your browser or the download. The browser casino usually has 60-70% the games the download does.

So, what games can you play?

The breakdown looks like this:

  • Slots – Choose from more than 100 variations and themes including classic, video, 3D and progressives.
  • Blackjack – There are usually 7-10 variations including classic, single deck and Spanish 21.
  • Table Games – You’ll have around 20 options that include sic bo, pai gow poker, roulette and craps.
  • Video Poker – Choose from as many as 30 variations including joker poker, jacks or better and aces and eights.
  • Misc Games – This includes options like bingo, keno and scratch cards.

Most RTG casinos will have mobile-compatible games, too. They’re not good about letting you know they exist, though. But if you visit the casino from your phone or tablet you’ll see that they have around 15 games.

Casinos Powered By Real Time Gaming

One thing Real Time Gaming is known for is how liberal they are with whom they let use their software.

The good news is there are lots of US-friendly casinos to choose from.

The bad news is you’ll want to avoid most of them like the plague.

I’ll cover the rogue casinos in just a minute. But, first, here’s a list of the most popular Real Time Gaming casinos:

  • Aladdins Gold
  • All Star Slots
  • Begado
  • Bodog
  • Bovada
  • Casino Titan
  • Classy Coin
  • Club SA Casino
  • Club World Casino
  • Grand Parker
  • Golden Euro Casino
  • Grande Vegas
  • High Noon Casino
  • Jackpot Capital
  • Las Vegas USA Casino
  • Loco Panda
  • Lucky Red Casino
  • Manhattan Slots Casino
  • OnBling
  • Slotastic
  • Sloto Cash Casino
  • Slots Jungle
  • Slots Plus
  • Slots.lv
  • Sun Palace Casino
  • Uptown Aces
  • Vegas Casino Online
  • Win Palace
  • iNetBet

These are my top picks:

  • Slots.lv
  • Bovada
  • Aladdins Gold
  • Lucky Red

The first two come from a similar background – a company that has 20+ years business and gambling experience, as well as a positive track record. (They also happen to offer BetSoft games which I prefer over Real Time Gaming.)

As far as Aladdins Gold and Lucky Red – word of mouth tells me they’re solid picks.

So, those are the casinos I’d join. But what about the rogue casinos I mentioned earlier?

Well, according to CasinoMeister.com, the following RTG-powered casinos are ones you want to avoid (unless you enjoy experiences akin to taking a shower …in a prison):

  • GoldVIPClub
  • Liberty Bell Casino (connected to the Rushmore Group)
  • Lucky 18
  • Mighty Slots
  • Revenue Jet Casinos – They’re connected to the Winpalace group and were featured as the Worst Casino Group in 2014 from Casino Meister. This group includes the casinos: OnBling, Grand Parker, Loco Panda, classy Coin, Ruby Royal
  • Rushmore Casinos Group – They have/had constant payment problems. This includes the casinos: Rushmore, Slot Oasis, Cherry Red, Slotsville, Pure Vegas and Euro City.
  • SlotsLuv
  • Winpalace Group – They received the Worst Casino Group of the Year award for 2010, 2011 and 2013. This includes the casinos: Begado, Casino Titan, Golden Cherry, Jackpot Grand, Slots of Fortune, Slots Jungle, Winpalace.

I’ll be honest …Real Time Gaming has one of the largest selections of rogue casinos.

There’s a reason for that.

RTG has said that they don’t police each individual company that uses their software. It’s up to each company to make sure they’re operating legally in the countries they accept players from.

(That might also explain why most RTG casinos accept US players, legal or not.)

You can’t blame Real Time Gaming, of course, but their hands off approach does leave the door wide open for anyone with a few thousand bucks and integrity to burn to launch a casino and blatantly scam players.

It’d be great if they were more cautious about who uses their software, much like BetSoft or Microgaming – two brands that power no rogue casinos on CasinoMesiter.com.

But that’s just this guy’s opinion.

All that means for you, though, is you’ll have to be more proactive about doing your research and reading reviews before you commit to a casino.

Or you can just stick to my list above.

Real Time GamingRealtime Gaming provides casino software to a large number of online casino operators, making it one of the most popular casino software platforms on the Net. Although it has to be said, RTG’s games are nowhere near as cutting edge as the other casino software companies we cover here on CasinoRankings.com.

Established in 1999, Realtime Gaming now powers more than 100 online casinos and includes some of the online gambling industry’s most respected names amongst their client list. Realtime Gaming’s software platform features over 120 games, including over 20 table games, more than 70 slots, and 30+ video poker variations.

Included in the games offered by RTG are 12 different progressive table, slots and video poker games.

All of the casinos which we recommend here on CasinoRankings.com that currently accept players from the US operate on and utilise software provided by Real Time Gaming.

RTG Casinos in General Accept US Players

The most popular games to be found at any Realtime Gaming casino are usually the Real-Series Video Slots, featuring popular games such as Ronin, Cleopatra’s Gold and The Three Stooges, as well as a number of multi-hand video poker machines which allow you to play up to 100 hands at the same time.

Realtime Gaming was the first software platform to introduce Random Jackpots – a feature where any spin on any Real-Series slot could land you a hefty jackpot! Some of the casinos have separate Randon Jackpots for each slot game – but a few have combined a number of pots to create even bigger jackpots.

Progressive jackpot titles such as Jackpot Cleopatra’s Gold, Aztec’s Millions and Shopping Spree have also proven to be popular with slots players, but Realtime Gaming also provides the usual Caribbean Stud Poker and Let ‘Em Ride progressive table games which are popular in casinos both online and off.

The RTG Casinos which we feature and recommend on CasinoRankings.com currently at this time welcome players based in the United States of America.
